About PunditPantry
I am a woman living in Texas. I am also known as OutOfTheBox
I am a retired teacher (English and History). I lean to the left, rise to the occasion, hope for the best, prepare for the worst, go to extremes, live for the present, die for chocolate (that is rich enough to die for), shop for bargains, laugh often, and love much. But sometimes, I put my foot in my mouth.
This blog site was begun as an alternative to another shall-not-be-named site when the comments on that site were closed down. (That site shall henceforth be know as “SNBN.” It was to serve as an alternative place to post comments until the SNBN comments were re-opened.
The comment section of SNBN has been re-opened… about 95%. However, there are still some things we are not allowed to say, according to the Terms of the Truce that ended the Great Banishment.
Another SNBN poster left a comment regarding the Forbidden Subject on Pantry, and a hint on SNBN that I should come here to view it.
So… I have decided to keep this site going, still as an alternative site, to accommodate the comments that cannot be left at SNBN. This will serve as a forum for that forbidden 5%, and a safety vent for complaints that otherwise might be posted on SNBN, possibly resulting in Great Banishment II.
Until I get things properly organized, leave comments here at About… or wherever. I’ll find ‘em.
Is it just me, or has [censored]burger breached the term where he agreed to not spam out a new LOLame every 2 hours?
I haven’t kept an accurate count, but, offhand, I’d say it isn’t just you.
also, I can see his point in not wanting to have us comment on the “captionable” gallery, but I think it would have been a little more sensitive to have composed a new notice at the bottom, rather than just plugging in that old “comments r closed. Sry” crap.
I know there is better stuff out there, from perusing the individual dashboards. I wonder if he is the only one working at the office, so he relies only on his own odd and erratic sense of humor to make his picks.
Rando has reminded me that the truce covers only derogatory remarks about you-know-who, not the lol’s. but if the lol is the moderator’s choice, aren’t we griping about the mod when we gripe about his choice?
hope things improve.
